Dr. Ernest Muragijeyesu, known as Dr. Mura, is a South African medical doctor specializing in lifestyle medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a postgraduate Diploma in Anaesthetics from the College of Anaesthetists of South Africa. Notably, he became the first physician in South Africa certified by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Mura founded The Great Physician Medical Missionaries, a group dedicated to promoting health education. He co-founded Dr. Mura Health with his wife, Dr. Philisiwe Muragijeyesu, focusing on the prevention, treatment, and reversal of lifestyle-related diseases. Their mission emphasizes accessible and engaging health education to empower individuals toward healthier living.
